Caring for a child with complex needs is relentless and we know that getting the right support can feel like a full time job in itself. At Oakwood, we get it because we've been there alongside families just like yours. We're here to provide care that truly fits your child and your family, not just what you all need, but what you want too. So you can let go of any worry and know your child is being safely cared for, allowing you to take the time you need for your own self-care, guilt free.
Annual Paid Day Out
Each child is entitled to a paid-for day out in their birthday month. Choose from our list of locations and have a staff member accompany you to ensure you get to be a fully present parent for the day.
Flexibility over your hours
We believe your allocated hours are yours. We will try to accommodate, as much as possible, flexibility around when you take these

Families can get to know a team of familiar, reliable and consistent staff
Annual "Oakwood families" organised event
We know it can be quite isolating when caring for a child with complex needs. We would love to help you meet other families whilst having a good day out. Staffing support will be available to enable you to mingle and enjoy the day.
